What a great roundup! I've wanted to read all these stories – I did read the one on the Springer Spaniel as it so reminded me of my goofy Dickens, but did not get a chance to see the video. And the cartoon is something else! Great find! Thanks for the mention, too – glad you liked the backstory!

Eric, I shared the Tom and Jerry cartoon with my 9-year old. He loves Tom and Jerry. I think “Kitty Leader” is a good title. What I love about cats is their independence, and yes, they can be trained.
As for pet names, my cat is Earl Gray because of his rich grey coat, and I love tea.
