Veterinarians Without Borders

A new web series is starting next week called Vets Without Borders. The series follows Canada’s Veterinarians without Borders, to different locations around the world. In this first season they are in a small mountain village in Guatemala, that is dealing with a rabid dog problem.

The first two episodes will premiere next Wednesday, September 15, with the third and fourth to follow up on the 22nd and 29th.

I’m going to be totally honest: this is the first I have heard of Veterinarians Without Borders, and my curiosity is piqued. Their description includes ” All of their programs are grounded in the philosophy that the health of animals, people, and the ecosystems we share cannot be treated as separate problems.” and I could not agree more. I am looking forward to the series.

Thanks for the heads-up, Eric. Looking forward to it!

PS: A heads-up in return… Should your link read veterinarianswithoutborders.com rather than “vets?” It’s broken, as-is.

  2. It’s fixed. The web site was/is correct but I had too many http://s in front of it. Thanks!

Always looking for more interesting dog shows on the computer. I can’t wait to check this out.

  4. At Veterinarians without Borders/Vétérinaires sans Frontières- Canada, we are very excited to see this web series as it really shows how working with local partners and committing to long term solutions can help and have a lasting effect on the animals and people of a community. VWB/VSF is sending a team back to Guatemala this fall! Thanks for posting a link to our website- hopefully more people will know who we are now!

    Dear VWB,

I just returned from Guatemala destined to organize vets to help with the sterilization of homeless dogs and cats. I am thrilled to see that there is already a couple of organizations dedicated to this cause. I would like to know more about your project in Guatemala. Is it possible to see on the internet? I would also like to fund raise (I’m not wealthy, but I would do what I can).

Thanks for getting back to me,
