Product Review: Paw Pal Bags

Paw Pal Pet Waste Clean up BagsThe old saw is “Get two trainers together and all they can agree on is that a third trainer doesn’t know what she is doing.”

But what you may not have heard is this: get any number of dog people together, trainers or not, and the conversation invariably turns to one particular subject.

Poop.

C’mon! Admit it! You’ve had these conversations. Nothing to be ashamed of. Poop is an avoidable fact of life with us dog people. Some of us get paid to arrange for it to end up on the right side of the threshold. Others get paid to accept and analyze samples. Yet others get paid to retrieve dogs and stick with them until the poop arrives…or exits, depending on how to think about it.

But we all need to clean it up. I least I hope you are! As my friends at GoPetFriendly.com say scoop the poop!

John from Buzz Promote asked me to try out a package of Paw Pal Bags and, being a trainer and owner of three poop producers, I jumped on the chance.

So…how do you evaluate poop bags? This is one of the things you don’t think about when you are saying “Of course!” on the phone. Sure we all know what we want in a poop bag, but how do we talk about it while avoiding the kind of obvious pun that this very sentence contains? Don’t try this at home folks.

Paw Pal Bags are geared toward commercial clients like day cares, training centers, apartment or condo buildings, and stores. They come in large quantities and are packaged with header cards for easy tear off in dispensers, which are also available on the web site. The header card Paw Pals supplies works with many different systems – if you already have a set-up, these bags will probably work.

The bags are much thicker and more pleasant to use than the thin bags you find in those cute little plastic packages that attach to leashes. There are also opaque, which is just plain better than those transparent cheap bags. If you are supplying the bags to clients or tenants, this will reduce the likelihood of them doubling up on them.

The bags are biodegradable, like their contents. (Unless Fluffy got into the Barbie collection again.) No reason to package natural waste into something that will never go away.

In short, these are good bags. If you need to buy them in bulk and/or are supplying them to tenants or clients, Paw Pal Bags are a good idea.

Very glad to see that biodegradable baggies are available in bulk! For those of us that can’t/don’t buy in bulk, I like Scoopies. The baggies are biodegradable, opaque, and shaped like a mitt for easy pick-up.

  2. We can ALWAYS count on you for the really important reviews.

  3. Never let it be said I won’t take the crappy jobs.

This is awesome! Biodegradable dog poop bags in bulks! Pet owners should really be very responsible in disposing their pet’s waste to avoid the spread of any disease. Although this is one topic that we rarely talk about, properly disposing pet waste is something that should really be dealt accordingly.
