How to Teach Your Dog Physics

I enjoy reading about science. My favorite dog-related authors, Patricia McConnell and Ray Coppinger intersperse a lot of scientific concepts into their books and I tend to intersperse titles like Dinosaur in a Haystack, the regrettably out of print Wild Minds, and A Short History of Nearly Everything in between the comic books and limerick collections.

Uncertain Principles is one of my favorite blogs. Chad Orzel publishes a daily list of interesting links and writes very entertaining exchanges between him and his dog, Emmy, about concepts in physics (One of my weaker subjects.)

These exchanges will be published and expanded in his upcoming book How To Teach Physics To Your Dog. The book has a website here. Pre-order it if you like dogs and physics. Or just dogs. Or just physics.

Chad recently had a caption contests using some photos of Emmy and I won! (There’s a larger version of the photo there.) So I get to read the book now!
